An Ohio woman will be back on trial Monday, charged with murdering her husband of eight months on New Year’s Eve 2014. Colleen McKernan, 28, shot her husband, Rob, 10 times in their home in Stark County, Ohio. She says she killed him in self-defense. The prosecution says the two argued and her husband tried to leave; that she shot him to prevent it. McKernan was tried in Canton, Ohio earlier this year before a jury of 10 men and two women. The jury deadlocked which is why she is being retried. She faces 18 years to life if convicted of murder. McKernon is out on house arrest; she is not in jail.
