DESCRIPTION:The trial of Robert Durst\, accused of murdering his friend and confidante Susan Berman\, is set to begin today in Los Angeles. Berman was shot execution-style in the back of the head in December 2000. Prosecutors say Durst feared she was about to speak to New York law enforcement about what she knew of Durst’s first wife’s disappearance in 1982. Kathy McCormack has never been found and is presumed dead. Durst was never charged in her disappearance though many believe he killed her.
