Rapper Kareem “Lefty” Williams’s four-minute video about Jodi Arias seems to miss the point. Mitigation Specialist Maria de la Rosa opens the video with a short introduction that what’s to come is about raising awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and domestic violence. I waited for a message but was distracted by a sequence of shots of mostly women, presumably victims of PTSD and domestic violence, but I got lost when all they did was mouth “Jodi A. Arias” the entire time while holding a sign. Williams’s lyrics carry a message, I suppose, but they were lost on me as I absorbed the images.
